A titanium flange is a component made from non-ferrous metal titanium or titanium alloys. It's used to connect pipes at their ends.
There are holes on the titanium flange, through which bolts are inserted to tightly join two flanges. A gasket is placed between flanges for sealing. Flanged pipe fittings refer to pipe components with flanges (protruding edges or discs).
Titanium flanges can be cast, or formed through threaded connections or welding. A flange joint consists of a pair of flanges, a gasket, and several bolts and nuts. The gasket is positioned between the sealing surfaces of the two flanges. When the nuts are tightened, the specific pressure on the gasket's surface reaches a certain value, causing it to deform and fill the unevenness on the sealing surfaces, ensuring a tight and leak-free connection.
Titanium flange connections are detachable. Based on the connected components, they can be classified into vessel titanium flanges and pipe titanium flanges.
